Downhill mountain bike park KaninThe downhill mountainbiking park known as Kanin first opened during 2003 and since then it has not looked back as far as providing interesting features for mountain bikers is concerned.To get to the upper staring point of the park the cable car has to be taken to B station and then it's onwards and upwards via a further 2km of macadam road. 3 different ability levelsThe park is divided into three sections, each catering for bikers with different levels of ability. This enables bikers with little experience to take the less demanding macadam surface to travel downhill until they have reached a higher level of expertise.Other than that, the two higher sections are fast and present technical challenges to the bikers, and offer some "North Shore" styled features. The park organises mountain biking safety and technique workshops for bikers to attend. Downhill track in Kranjska GoraThe downhill track in Kranjska Gora has provided the spot for those speed addicts seeking an adrenalin rush. The track is 2km in length and 350m high and it was built last year (2009) for the Slovenia Cup.There will be a few differences in layout this year, most of which will serve to heighten the technical pretentiousness offered by the route but at the same time making the trail enjoyable and satisfying for a wide selection of bikers. Within the wooded area the technical section will be increased and new variations will be added to both the woods and the open areas incorporating a few long jumps which are going to be built so the downhill race into the valley becomes more exciting than ever before.
