Kundi's Biking Routes

Commencing in Prevalje, the route can be followed to Leše, Dolag Brda, Šentanel and Strojna and the fact that some of the routes can be merged with others offers the biker numerous ways of exploring this magnificent landscape with its panoramic mountain and valley views of the area.

The Bike Base at Jamnica

The core of the mountain bike tourist industry is located at the bike base in Jamnica. Here you will find self-contained accommodation, holiday homes and a tourist farm. This location has a single trail park and offers guided tours here and in other areas of Slovenia.

Ekohotel Kmetija Koroš

This centre for mountain bikers became well known when it opened the first hotel specifically for mountain bikers along with the first mountain bike park in Slovenia.

When established for more than ten years they moved to a smaller and much cozier hotel within the forests and mountainous area of Koroška with its superb views.

These days, Koroš is the place where three cycle networks meet and it's a great place for biking and other mountain escapades.

The farm itself became a delightful eco and cyclist friendly hotel offering a comfortable place to rest along with a selection of home cooked menus of organic ingredients. There are also rooms where guests can relax, take a sauna, a massage or a dip in the pool. The inside of the hotel clearly displays the part mountain biking has played on their lifestyle.

Single Trail Park

Around the tourist farm you will find a network of biking cycling trails, especially single trails to suit all levels of mountain biking expertise and if you wish you can take part in the courses for mountain biking or tour guide training that are on offer.

The International Drava Cycle Trail

This route winds its way along an ever changing path of scenery as it meanders alongside the Drava River as far as the old town of Dravograd and then further on into the huge Pohorje forest.

This particular trail is part of a European network of routes for cyclists which, in Slovenia, runs from Vič in the direction of Maribor.

The Cycling Trail around Uršlja Gora

Running along dirt tracks and quiet country roads and joining one small farming community to the next is the 41km mountain bike trail around Uršlja Gora.

Starting at the popular tourist spot of Lake Ivarčko Jezero in Ravne this route meets up with other trails in the neighbouring valleys of Mežica and Mislinja.

Pohorje Biking Transversal

Connecting the eastern and western areas this cycling trail threads along the ridges of Pohorje incorporating routes from many of the main centres in the area.

You can start this exciting 75km bike ride, where the way is clearly marked in both directions, at Koča pod Kremžarjevim Vrhom close by to Slovenj Gradec.
