The extraordinary beautiful Karst landscape is home to the Lipica stud since 1580. Since then the famous white horses, the Lippizaners, well known all over the world, are raised here. The career in the legendary Spanish Riding School of Vienna is only one path of life these horses may follow.

Focussed to be attractive not only for horse enthusiasts the stud operates the Lipica Golf Course. The course was built 1989, designed by the famous Donald Harradine, the same, who also laid out the Bled Course. The extremely picturesque place presents 9 holes of really lovely fairways, a driving range and two training greens.

The length of about 3 km invites to do it twice in series. The true golfer knows well that short but fine has qualities of its own. The Lipica Course is all-season opened, the only one in Slovenia, making it special additionally.

Quite near the course are the ticket office, a wardrobe and the pro-shop. The shop offers what golfer's heart may desire of equipment and accessories. Lost balls or broken good old wooden tees - no problem. A new wedge to improve bunker skills or a better putter to overcome one's hole faintness. You will find the suitables.
