Julian Alps Slovenia

With the Julian Alps Slovenia you get to know the biggest and most famous slovenian mountain group. It attracts mountaineers and hikers offering all kinds of challenges, crisscrossed by a network of marked paths.

Here you can treat yourself to several days of high-mountain trekking or one-day trips ascents to the panoramic points at the edge of the chain. The possibilities are endless. Let us explore the Julian Alps from a holistic perspective.

Triglav

refreshments and accomodation

The most important starting points and tourist centres are those of Bled, Bohinj, Tolmin, Bovec and Kranjska Gora. You will find on the mountain chain many mountain cottages with available refreshments and overnight accommodations.

Bohinj

1. To Triglav (2864 m)
You ascent from Bohinj to Triglav (see Panorama picture above) over the Uskavnica alp. Your return will leed you through the triglav Lakes Valley (7 jezera) and through the Fuzinske planine alps – that is what we call a fairytale world.

2. To Prsivec (1761 m)
Here you will experience the gorgeous shine of the Julian Alps.

Bled

3. Through the Vintgar Gorge
Through the gorge you are accompanied by a blue-green mountain river.

4. To Debela Pec (2015 m)
You will hike through the deep Pokljuka forests to the panoramic peak on the edge of the plain, high above the Krma glacier valley.

Triglav National Park

5. Soca Path
Enjoy the park learning path along the emerald river from its spring and along the Trenta valley towards Bovec

6. Pokljuka Path
Find here a forest and park learning path featuring the historical and natural curiosities of the forest plain.
