Many old farmhouses with wooden roofs and little gardens in the center of Kranjska Gora have saved its idyllic flair and seduce to strolling through the streets, where during the summer months fresh fruit and vegetables are sold.

Don't miss the Triglav National Park

A day in the Triglav national park takes you close to nature or up on the Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain. The landscape of its southern region is formed by glaciers, lakes and high alps. Especially in spring, the lake valley is nice to look at with all its flowers in full bloom. The alpine garden Juliana, south of the pass, shows the complete range of plants of the Julian Alps. The river Soča runs southwards from Triglav, crossing the Italian border – a paradise for rafting, canoeing and canyoning.
