Between the Julian Alps and the Karavenke Mountains.

In a height of 810 metres, Kranjska Gora is situated on the top of the Sava Valley, close to the border of Austria between the Julian Alps and the Karavenke Mountains. Snow boarding, ice climbing and ice skating are few of the various possibilities to spend a beautiful winter holiday.

excellent summer holidays destination too

But Kranjska Gora offers much more than a winter wonder world – during its lovely and warm summers it invites its guests to enjoy walking or biking, fishing and hunting in a wonderful valley, embedded in a fascinating alpine region.

enjoy the idyllic flair

Many old farmhouses with wooden roofs and little gardens in the center of Kranjska Gora have saved its idyllic flair and seduce to strolling through the streets, where during the summer months fresh fruit and vegetables are sold.

Don't miss the Triglav National Park

A day in the Triglav national park takes you close to nature or up on the Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain. The landscape of its southern region is formed by glaciers, lakes and high alps. Especially in spring, the lake valley is nice to look at with all its flowers in full bloom.

The alpine garden Juliana, south of the pass, shows the complete range of plants of the Julian Alps. The river Soca runs southwards from Triglav, crossing the Italian border – a paradise for rafting, canoeing and canyoning.
