mocnik recipe

I grew up in Cleveland. My Slovenian grandma used to cook me a dish that consisted of flour noodles, somehow she cooked them and then put them in great tasting white/brown sauce. I can still taste them. She died when I was 9 so bear with me here.
Our family called it murchink, or at least that's what it sounded like to me at that age. I have never been able to find someone who knew how to make this since she passed, or even knew what I was talking about. Any ideas?
Dear Tom,
maybe you mean "mocnik" that is traditionally known as a food of the poor: It is a floury, soft dish made from wheat flour or corn - in old times they used buckwheat flour.
Some put their buckwheat mocnik also in milk - this has an attractive, tempting smell.
Mocnik is an old slovenian dish, that was cooked especially on long cold winter evenings. It is seldom cooked nowadays...
If this is what you are looking for please let me know and I will research a recipe for you.
By the way, you will find in the slovenian gastronomy under "mocnik" also tiny pellets made from eggs and cereal flour that are put in the soup to be boiled.
All the best,
Gabriela
