Mokrice Golf

Could Mokrice Golf be your slovenian golf destination no. 1?
Whoever did enjoy castle tourism e.g. the Relais Chateau hotel chain will be thrilled.

Mokrice Castle, between the woods of the Gorjanci Mountains and romantic hilly vineyards is an absolutely hattric. Historic medieval sightseeing point, noble class hotel and a golf course.

diversified challenges at the palace park

Golf Mokrice is extraordinary not least due to a part of it: the palace park. The course was designed - who wonders - by Donald Harradine. The 70 hectares present fairways of extensive altitude difference. Many natural obstacles, forest sites and hills, a pear plantation and a lake provide diversified challenges.

200 years old english tradition

Additionally the mentioned palace ground with its silence and 200 years old English tradition. Harradine again successfully combined natural land configuracy, magnificent views and a masterpiece of golf course.

with roofed driving ranges

Lately some novelties were added. A big sized Club House including wardrobe, caddy-room, Pro-shop, restaurant, patios and 8 suits of three-star category. A part of the driving range was roofed to enable all-weather exercises.

brainteaser for advanced players

Noteworthy: Hole number 5. It is told Mokrice's if not Europe's difficult one. Its length of 290 metres deserves "par 4". The first stroke has to be a precise one of 200 metres to allow reaching the green with the second. Seems not quite difficult. But the buzz is a really challenging detour. A so called dogleg of 90 degree, the fairway is narrow and a slope at the left side. A water hazard is supplied as completion …

A brainteaser for an advanced player - some kind of a horror place for beginners.

Castle Hotel

Complete recreation at best is provided in the beautiful Mokrice Castle Hotel.
