Ljubljana

The capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, located in Central Slovenia, is the most visited place of the country. The town has a considerable historical legacy. There is much to discover in the historical city centre. For instance the numerous gothic churches, a triple bridge and many nice living houses and hotels of art nouveau.

Maribor

You'll find nice downhill races in the area of Maribor in Eastern Slovenia. There you can even ski at night. Maribor on the River Drau (Drava) is the second largest town of Slovenia. with a lovely historic city centre and an interesting university building.

Due to its varied landscape there are many opportunities for activities of different kind. The Southern European Republic Slovenia is located on the Balkan Peninsula. Nearly 50 % of the country are covered by forests. More than 15 health resorts you'll find in this area.

Bled - most visited location

The name of the highest mountain of Slovenia is Triglav. Its height is 2864 metres. There are some romantic old castles in the mountains. One of the most visited locations is a place, named Bled, nearby a clear lake. There is a little church on an island, which looks like a fairy tale castle.

Slovenia Climate

The Slovenian climate is continental in the mountains and mediterranean on the Sea. There are some rainy days in the country, that’s why there is a saturated green nature.
