Slovenia Weather
The slovenia weather can be very different depending on the region you are. Although small in size three individual climates are created by the country's topograpy.
The North West
Here in the mountain area an Alpine climate is typical with strong influences from the Atlantic as well as an abundant precipitation. The temperatures in the north west are moderate in summer but can be very cold in winter .
Western Slovenia
In this region you may expect Meditarrean climate with mild, sunny weather most of the year. However don’t underestimate the burja, a cold dry north western wind from the adriatic – it can really be sometimes fierce.
Eastern Slovenia
Here in the wine region a continental climate prevails with hot summers and cold winters.
General Tips:
The coldest month in Slovenia is January, with an average national daytime temperature of – 2 C° (28 F). July is the warmest month with an average of 21 C° (70 F)
Most of the rain in Slovenia falls in March and April and then again in Oktober and November.
